These are the regular classes that are currently taking place.

What will you get up to in a typical class? I’m glad you asked – click here to find out.

What age groups is it for? Well, everyone, but my classes are geared up for adults – not the elderly and infirm – everyone and anyone. Children tend to find traditional Tai Chi training a bit slow and dull, so like Karate classes, they tend to have to be tailored to children.

How much is it?

FIRST CLASS IS FREE!
After that, £8/session.
All classes are pay as you come – no paying in advance & no hidden charges. Pay cash, card or via internet banking app – ask for details.

*Any husbands, wives, partners, or other significant others get in for half price – you can fight between yourselves over who gets to pay full price & who gets in for half.
**Any members of the Leisure Centre gets £1 off/session.

What do I need?

Not much – just clothes you can move around in easily, flat shoes, and a willingness to try new things.

Alfreton Leisure Centre / Park – Monday afternoons

Alfreton Leisure Centre, Church St, Alfreton, Derbys. DE55 7BD, or if the weather’s fine, we often meet at the Cricket Circle at the bottom of Alfreton Park (I usually text everyone Monday morning once I’ve had a look at the weather).

The Leisure Centre is just off Church street, and has its own car park. Come into Reception and tell them you’re there for the Tai Chi class to get a (free) pass to put in your car window.

The class itself is normally in the Dance Studio upstairs (leg-warmers are entirely optional). The lovely people on Reception will point you in the right direction & give you the code for the door upstairs.

Daybrook Baptist Church Hall – Monday evenings

Daybrook Baptist Church Hall, Mansfield road (A60) by Go Outdoors, NG5 6AA.
The hall is next to the church itself & there’s parking round the back using the driveway between the hall and Go Outdoors.
